Regular Season Round 32: Poitiers - Nantes 85-106

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Nantes and 14th ranked Poitiers had identical 10-21 record. But Poitiers was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Nantes 106-85 on Tuesday night. The game without a history. Nantes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.2 percent from the field. Nantes shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) contributed with 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points in the effort for Poitiers. Five Poitiers players scored in double figures. Nantes (11-21) moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser Poitiers dropped to the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Nantes will face bottom-ranked Charleville-Mezieres (#18) at home in the next round. Poitiers will play against Quimper UJAP and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
