Regular Season Round 33: Bourg - Chalons-Reims 84-87

A very close game took place in Bourg between Chalons-Reims and JL Bourg. Fourteenth ranked Chalons-Reims (14-19) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked JL Bourg (17-16). Chalons-Reims managed to escape with a 3-point win 87-84 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-84. Five JL Bourg players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Chalons-Reims moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Gravelines. Newly promoted JL Bourg keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. Chalons-Reims will meet at home higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JL Bourg will play against the league's leader Monaco where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
