Lucentum fired past Avila to open 2-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by HLA Alicante. Fontedoso Carrefour managed to win third quarter 18-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. HLA Alicante made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Point guard Pedro Rivero (186-79) scored 20 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Amadou Sidibe (203-94, college: Fairfield, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Ugandan swingman Robinson Odoch (190-89, college: Rogers St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Brazilian center Sidnei De-Santana (216-83) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
