Regular Season Round 34: Chalons-Reims - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 102-94

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Chalons-Reims (15-19) won against at home higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (18-16) 102-94 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 102-94. Chalons-Reims made 31-of-34 free shots (91.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Pau-Lacq-Orthez was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 10 assists. American forward Ken Horton (199-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and international point guard Elie-Franck Okobo (188-97) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalons-Reims moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Gravelines and Chalon. Loser Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost.
