Regular Season Round 32: Hapoel Holon - Bnei Hertzeliya 81-70

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hapoel Holon as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hapoel Holon defeated 9th ranked Bnei Hasharon at home 81-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bnei Hasharon. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Holon. Bnei Hasharon managed to win third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Holon shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Brandon Triche (193-91, college: Syracuse) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Holon (22-10) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Maccabi T-A. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the ninth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Ironi Nahariya. Bnei Hasharon will play next round against strong Maccabi T-A trying to get back on the winning streak. Hapoel Holon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
