Baskonia rallied past Unicaja in Malaga to advance into the semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Baskonia. Unicaja Malaga was better in fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baskonia dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Unicaja Malaga's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Brazilian-Italian point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points and 8 assists. French power forward Vincent Poirier (210-93) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 14 points and the former international forward Carlos Suarez (203-86, agency: Court Side) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Unicaja Malaga. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
