Regular Season Round 12: Trotamundos - Toros 94-78

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Trotamundos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Trotamundos defeated 4th ranked Toros in Valencia 94-78. They outrebounded Toros 49-26 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Trotamundos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) who added 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Trotamundos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Uruguayan guard Andres Dotti (185-93) with 25 points and international forward Elder Gimenez (186-91) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trotamundos (9-1) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Toros lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Toros will play next round against strong Cocodrilos trying to get back on the winning streak. Trotamundos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
