Regular Season Round 5: Charging Rhinos - Ndejje Angels 60-73

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Kampala where 10th ranked Charging Rhinos (2-7) were defeated by eleventh ranked Ndejje (2-5) 73-60 on Saturday. Salim Kisily stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and guard Innocent Ochera (-97) chipped in 15 points. Four Ndejje players scored in double figures. Forward Swaib Kalungi responded with 17 points and 4 assists and forward Abel Omomgin (-89) scored 8 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ndejje moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Charging Rhinos dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Ndejje will meet at home higher ranked City Oilers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Charging Rhinos will play against Sharing Youth (#6) and hope to secure a win.
