Regular Season Round 5: Boston College - Estadio Esp 88-67

Date: June 9, 2018
Very expected game in Santiago where bottom-ranked Estadio Esp (0-3) was crushed by leader Boston College (3-0) 88-67 on Saturday. Boston College dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Estadio Esp's 26. Boston College forced 19 Estadio Esp turnovers and outrebounded them 41-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Forward Ramon Villacura (189-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Ramon Gatica (185-96) chipped in 19 points. Five Boston College players scored in double figures. Hernan Beltran (-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Daniel Jaureguiberry (-96) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Boston College maintains first place in Pro with 3-0 record. Loser Estadio Esp still closes the standings with three games lost. Boston College's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena .
