Top ranked Boston College (5-2) recorded its second loss in Santiago on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Sergio Ceppi (4-3) 91-83. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Pro. It was a great shooting night for Sergio Ceppi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. 30 personal fouls committed by Boston College helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan guard Luis Merida (190-92) who scored 30 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Angelo Olivares (185-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sergio Ceppi's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Ramon Gatica (185-96) who recorded 32 points and the former international Ramiro Galvez (-96) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Sergio Ceppi moved-up to second place in Pro. Boston College at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Sergio Ceppi are looking forward to face San Juan E.
