Everything went according to plan in Wantirna South where seventh ranked Knox Raiders (13-9) beat 11th ranked Blackburn V. (5-17) 88-73 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Knox Raiders made 7 blocks. American forward Christopher Kaba (203-88, college: N.Colorado) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Dylan Hare (193-93) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Jake Spruhan responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and Michael DAgostino produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Blackburn V. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
