The most surprising game was the first loss of T71 (6-1) in Dudelange on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Esch (5-2) 62-58. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of T71. Esch made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Clancy Rugg (204-1991, college: Vermont) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Alexandre Rodenbourg (202-1991) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international power forward Joe Kalmes (200-1995) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international point guard Kevin Moura (182-1994) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for T71. Esch moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Amicale. T71 at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Residence and Etzella. Esch is looking forward to face Grengewald (#8) in Niederanven in the next round. T71 will play on the road against Arantia (#10) in Larochette and is hoping to win this game.
