There was a minor upset in Malaga where 3rd placed Eurogaza (1-1) was defeated by ninth ranked Novaschool (1-1) 73-68 on Saturday. Novaschool forced 19 Eurogaza turnovers. The best player for the winners was power forward Ruben Salas (207-2003) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Andres Aguado (183-1996, college: ACU) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Jose Antonio Moreno (204-1998) produced 7 points and 12 rebounds and Argentinian-Croatian point guard Valentin Burgos (184-1992) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Novaschool left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with 9 other teams including defeated Eurogaza. Novaschool will meet at home Oh!Tels ULB (#4) in the next round.
