Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Artland Dragons and 12th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven had identical 2-3 record. But Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Quakenbrueck 88-69 on Friday night. Artland Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jalen Bradley (185-1993, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored 18 points and 6 assists. The other American import guard William Christmas (196-1996, college: CPP) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Robert Oehle (209-1988) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and naturalized American Jarelle Reischel (200-1992, college: EKU, agency: LUMANI 10.7) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Artland Dragons have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Eisbaeren Bremerhaven dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Bochum and Kirchheim. Artland Dragons will meet at home higher ranked Muenster (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play against Phoenix Hagen (#4) and hope to secure a win.
