Regular Season Round 4: M.Haifa - E.Netanya 95-73

There was a minor upset when higher ranked E.Netanya (2-2) was smashed on the road by tenth ranked M.Haifa (2-2) 95-73 on Friday. M.Haifa looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard Admon Gilder (193-1995, college: Gonzaga) supported him with 23 points. Five M.Haifa players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by American center Justin Robinson (206-1996, college: Duke) did not help to save the game for E.Netanya. American-Nigerian Al-Wajid Aminu (201-1998, college: UNF) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. M.Haifa moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated E.Netanya. M.Haifa will meet I.Nahariya (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. E.Netanya will play against Ramat Hash. (#12) and hope to secure a win.
