Tenth-ranked Arantia (2-6) gave a tough game to first ranked T71 (7-1) in Larochette on Saturday. The visitors from Dudelange managed to secure only one-point victory 53-52. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great shooting night for T71 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Moses Greenwood (201-1997, college: SE Louisiana) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Jimmie Taylor (193-1994, college: Rider) who added 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Derek Wilson (195-1991) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Steven Julian (198-1996, college: Cornell) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. T71 maintains first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Residence and Etzella. Arantia lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Musel Pikes. T71 is looking forward to face Sparta (#8) in Bertrange in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arantia will play on the road against Grengewald in Niederanven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
