There was a minor upset when higher ranked Roseto (2-3) was rolled over on the road by twelfth ranked RO SAzzurra (2-3) 59-37 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was North Macedonian forward Matea Nikolic (190-2002, college: Kansas) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Israeli point guard Giulia Prosperi (180-1997) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Irish-American guard Anna Kelly (169, college: Fordham) produced 8 points and 10 rebounds and forward Martina Lombardo (177) added 10 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RO SAzzurra moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 9 other teams including defeated Roseto. RO SAzzurra will meet at home Cagliari (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roseto will play against Firenze (#4) and hope to secure a win.
