Regular Season Round 6: Midtbyen - Storm U. 96-45

Bottom-ranked Storm U. (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-45 loss to fourth ranked Midtbyen (4-3) in Trondheim on Saturday evening. They held Storm U. to an opponent 20.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Midtbyen forced 24 Storm U. turnovers and outrebounded them 54-42 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Storm U.'s players. Henriette Hofermann had a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ulrikke Bentsen (182-1999) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Midtbyen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Ingrid Karlsen (184-2002) with 7 points and 14 rebounds and Vilde Havnes scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Midtbyen moved-up to third place, which they share with Asker. Loser Storm U. still closes the standings with seven games lost. Midtbyen will meet league's second-placed Baerum in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Storm U. will play against the league's second-placed Baerum (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
