Regular Season Round 10: NH Ostrava - Slavia 86-75

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Slavia (3-7) lost on the road to tenth ranked NH Ostrava (3-6) 86-75 on Saturday. American forward Sukhmail Mathon (208-1998, college: Boston U.) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 20 rebounds to lead the effort and Ukrainian swingman Olexandr Belikov (201-1992) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by forward David Jelinek (204-1997, college: Northwood) did not help to save the game for Slavia. Guard Martin Kheil (190-2003) added 18 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Slavia's coach Pavel Benes rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NH Ostrava moved-up to ninth place. Slavia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. NH Ostrava will meet bottom-ranked Hradec Kralove (#12) on the road in the next round. Slavia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Praha USK Praha.
