Very predictable result when third ranked Samsunspor (7-1) rolled over at home 12th ranked Haremspor (2-6) 105-72 on Sunday. Samsunspor dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Haremspor's 38. They outrebounded Haremspor 31-16 including 22 on the defensive glass. Samsunspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Haremspor's players. The winners were led by Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) who scored that evening 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Goktug Bas (201-2001) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Samsunspor players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by American guard Donte Clark (194-1994, college: Texas Southern) did not help to save the game for Haremspor. The former international forward Izzet Turkyilmaz (212-1990) added 10 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Samsunspor have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Mersin and Cagdas BS. Newly promoted Haremspor keeps the twelfth place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
