The biggest surprise of round 8 in U19 League was guest Galatasaray's (5-3) easy road victory over 5th ranked Antalya Gelism (4-4) 73-50 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Antalya Gelism. Galatasaray forced 26 Antalya Gelism turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Galatasaray made 8 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Antalya Gelism helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Efe Vatan (-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Berke Ismailcebi (-2004) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Yunus Nur (-2003) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and Tarkan Tunga (-2005) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
