Regular Season Round 18: Telsiai - Neptunas-Akv. 86-71

Very predictable result when second ranked Telsiai (16-2) won against at home bottom-ranked Neptunas-Akv. (2-16) 86-71 on Saturday. Telsiai looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-1991) notched 12 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and Laurynas Kaveckis (190-1990) supported him with 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Telsiai players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by Gediminas Lesciauskas (197-2001) did not help to save the game for Neptunas-Akv.. Point guard Rytis Sakaitis (193-2004) added 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Telsiai have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-2 record having just one point less than leader Zalgiris II. Neptunas-Akv. lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Telsiai will meet Atletas (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Silute and hope to secure a win.
