NKL top team - Zalgiris II (16-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Vilkaviskis (7-10) 88-67. They outrebounded Vilkaviskis 42-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Motiejus Krivas (214-2004) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Gytis Nemeiksa (201-2001) contributed with 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. French forward Moussa Mayaki (202-1999) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Aidas Kavaliauskas (186-1995, college: Fairfield) added 11 points and 7 assists in the effort for Vilkaviskis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris II have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-1 record. Vilkaviskis at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost.
