Regular Season Round 11: Treviglio - Monferrato 97-68
Date: December 7, 2022
Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Treviglio (7-3) smashed at home 7th ranked Monferrato (4-6) 97-68 on Wednesday. Treviglio made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Treviglio had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Eric Lombardi (201-1993) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Marco Giuri (196-1988) chipped in 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). British guard Quinn Ellis (193-2003) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (183-1994) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Treviglio moved-up to third place, which they share with Torino. Monferrato lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Trapani and Piacenza. Treviglio will meet at home league's leader Vanoli Cremona in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Monferrato will play against Milano Urania (#5) and hope to secure a win.
