There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked M.Haifa (4-6) beat at home higher ranked M.Rehovot (4-6) 91-77 on Friday. M.Haifa shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American guard Admon Gilder (193-1995, college: Gonzaga) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Danel Kozahinof (177-2001) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four M.Haifa players scored in double figures. M.Haifa's coach Offer Rahimi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American swingman Brent Jackson (193-1994, college: Columbus St.) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (203-1989, college: Presbyterian) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. M.Haifa moved-up to ninth place, which they share with M.Rehovot and Ramat Hash. M.Haifa will meet higher ranked M.Raanana (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. M.Rehovot will play against Ramat Hash. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
