Regular Season Round 10: Koroivos - Maroussi 77-75

The most exciting game of round 10 in the A2 took place in Koroivos. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Maroussi (6-4) to eighth ranked Koroivos (6-4) 77-75 in the game for the sixth place. American swingman Julien Lewis (193-1992, college: Fresno St.) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Nikolaos Kamaras (201-1997) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Lewis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side point guard Orfeas Stasinos (183-1988) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ilias Theodorou (206-1995, college: Pacific) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Koroivos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Papagou and Maroussi. Koroivos is looking forward to face higher ranked Iraklis (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Maroussi will play at home against Kavalas and is hoping to win this game.
