There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Licher Basket (6-7) outplayed at home higher ranked Ulm BBU 01 (7-6) 83-61 on Saturday. Licher Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Ulm BBU 01's 22. They outrebounded Ulm BBU 01 45-30 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Licher Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Yannik Ribbecke (197-1997) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987, agency: LUMANI 10.7) accounted for 22 points and 11 rebounds. Licher Basket's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Eric Reibe (201-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jordan Mueller (185-1998) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for Ulm BBU 01 in the defeat.
