Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Delikatesas and 8th ranked Kretinga had identical 7-11 record. But Kretinga was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Joniskis 86-80. Center Povilas Gaidys (206-1991, college: Southeastern) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. American center Corey Boyd (206-1998) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Boyd is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Guard Martynas Mazeika (193-1985, agency: Interperformances) replied with 26 points and 5 assists and center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Kretinga. Delikatesas (8-11) moved-up to eighth place. Kretinga at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Atletas and Vilkaviskis. Delikatesas will play against higher ranked Suduva-Mantinga (#3) in Marijampole in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kretinga will play on the road against Palanga (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
