There was no surprise when 12th ranked Heffingen (1-13) was edged at home by fifth ranked T71 (10-4) 81-79 on Friday. American guard Jimmie Taylor (193-1994, college: Rider) had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Moses Greenwood (201-1997, college: SE Louisiana) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five T71 players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Denell Stephens (190-1986, college: Slippery Rock) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and the former international point guard Philippe Arendt (187-1998) scored 22 points and 5 assists. T71 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Residence. Heffingen lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. T71 will meet at home Grengewald (#8) in the next round. Heffingen will play against Sparta (#10) in Bertrange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
