We should mention about the upset which took place in Kolobrzeg, where higher ranked Kotwica (10-6) lost at home to seventeenth ranked Polonia (4-12) 75-83 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Alphonso Willis (188-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and Michal Chrabota (196-1999) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. At the losing side Damian Pieloch (195-1989) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Mikolaj Kurpisz (203-1998) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Polonia moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Zgorzelec. Kotwica lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Polonia will meet at home higher ranked Dziki (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kotwica will play against Enea Basket in Poznan and hope to secure a win.
