Very expected game in Klaipeda where 14th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (3-17) was defeated by seventh ranked Delikatesas (9-13) 87-83 on Saturday. Delikatesas made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Center Povilas Gaidys (206-1991, college: Southeastern) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners. Sarunas Kulevicius (193-1989) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Rytis Sakaitis (193-2004) produced 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Kristupas Keinys (202-2004) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Delikatesas went down to ninth position due to points difference. Loser Neptunas-Akv. stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Delikatesas will meet at home league's leader Telsiai in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against the league's second-placed Zalgiris II (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
