Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Eunikos (4-7) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Niki Lefkadas (6-5) 69-56 on Sunday. Niki Lefkadas forced 19 Eunikos turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Stasha Carey (188-1995, college: Rutgers) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Lauren Heard (175-1999, college: TCU) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Guard Lamprini Polymeni (175-2003, college: Montana) produced 17 points and North Macedonian guard Aleksandra Stojanovska (178-1994) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Eunikos' coach Giorgos Veltsistas rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Niki Lefkadas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Eleutheria M. and PAOK. Newly promoted Eunikos dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Chania and Proteas. Niki Lefkadas will meet Eleutheria M. (#6) in the next round.
