Regular Season Round 14: Soleuvre - Amicale 65-102

Leader Amicale delivered the twelfth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Soleuvre (2-12) 102-65 in Belvaux. They outrebounded Soleuvre 43-30 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Alex Reese (206-1999, college: Alabama, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Bob Melcher (189-1994) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. Amicale's coach Etienne Louvrier felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Tariq Silver (196-1998, college: Austin Peay) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Davide Grun (-1998) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Amicale (12-2) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Newly promoted Soleuvre keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Amicale will meet at home league's second-placed Esch in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Soleuvre will play against Musel Pikes (#9) in Stadrbredimus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
