Regular Season Round 11: Kipina - ToPo Juniorit 102-103

The most exciting game of round 11 in the 1st Division A took place in Aanekoski. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked Kipina (6-5) to eighth ranked ToPo Juniorit (6-5) 103-102 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kipina. ToPo Juniorit shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Forward Eldar Skamo (198-1986) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Leo Nordberg (185-2004) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. American guard Brian Cameron (188-1997, college: Wesley) answered with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard ArMond Davis (196-1995, college: UCSB) added 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kipina. Five ToPo Juniorit and four Kipina players scored in double figures. ToPo Juniorit moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Kipina. ToPo Juniorit is looking forward to face Kouvot Ak. (#9) in Kouvola in the next round. Kipina will play at home against Oulun Bball (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
