The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Turk Telekom's (3-8) road loss to eighth ranked Tesvikiye (5-6) 73-88 on Sunday. Tesvikiye dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 32. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 50-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Berkay Terzi (-2003) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. Goktug Turhan (-2005) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Erim Lif (-2005) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Mehmet Bener (-2003) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tesvikiye moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Merkezefendi. Turk Telekom lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Tesvikiye will meet at home higher ranked Besiktas (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turk Telekom will play against Petkim Spor (#8) in Izmir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
