No shocking result in a game in Glyfada where third ranked Esperides (8-4) smashed 8th ranked Eunikos (4-8) 84-61 on Wednesday. Esperides forced 19 Eunikos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Valerie Higgins (185-1998, college: Pacific, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Nausia Woolfolk (175-1998, college: FSU) who added 24 points, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Asiah Jones (190-1998, college: Jacksonville) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Lamprini Polymeni (175-2003, college: Montana) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Esperides have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-4 record having four points less than leader Olympiacos. Newly promoted Eunikos dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Esperides will meet Niki Lefkadas (#5) on the road in the next round. Eunikos will play against the league's leader Olympiacos (#1) and hope to secure a win.
