Regular Season Round 13: Yalovaspor - Gemlik 85-65

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Gemlik (2-11) was outplayed on the road by seventh ranked Yalovaspor (7-6) 85-65 on Monday. Yalovaspor outrebounded Gemlik 42-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Kadir Bayram (185-1996) stepped up and scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners and American Lamont Jones (183-1990, college: Iona) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American forward Devante Foster (206-1998, college: Arkansas Tech, agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Jeremy Sheppard (185-1997, college: URI, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 15 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Yalovaspor maintains seventh place with 7-6 record. Gemlik lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with Bornova and Antalya. Yalovaspor will meet Kocaeli (#8) in the next round. Gemlik will play against Haremspor (#11) and hope to secure a win.
