Regular Season Round 12: Omonia - E.N. Paralimni 80-73

Omonia's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after ten consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat E.N. Paralimni (2-9) 80-73. It looked good early as E.N. Paralimni took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Omonia had a 25-17 second period charge getting the lead and E.N. Paralimni was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-80. Omonia brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Cody John (190-1996, college: Weber St., agency: Helping Ballers) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Jordan Dallas (208-1997, college: Seattle) who added 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Dallas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Omonia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Aaron Cook (188-1997, college: Georgia) with 25 points and 4 assists and American-Nigerian forward Stephen Ugochukwu (201-1996, college: McNeese St.) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. Omonia maintains eleventh position with 1-10 record. E.N. Paralimni at the other side keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. Omonia will play against higher ranked AEK Larnaca (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. E.N. Paralimni will play against the league's leader Keravnos (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
