Regular Season Round 15: Rieti Kienergia - Cantu 77-81

Leader Cantu delivered the thirteenth win on Wednesday night. This time they beat 12th ranked Rieti Kienergia (2-11) 81-77. Cantu looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dario Hunt (204-1989, college: Nevada) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Lorenzo Bucarelli (198-1998) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Darryl Tucker (201-1995, college: UWF) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Jordan Geist (188-1997, college: Missouri, agency: Inception Sports) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Rieti Kienergia's coach Gabriele Ceccarelli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cantu (13-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Rieti Kienergia lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Cantu are looking forward to face league's second-placed Vanoli Cremona at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rieti Kienergia will play against Agrigento (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
