Very expected game when 11th ranked Diba Ankara (6-11) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Kirklareli (11-6) 66-57 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American guard Aliyah Mazyck (175-1996, college: USC) who scored 23 points. Irem Tulgar (-1990) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. DR Congolese center Mireille Muganza (185-1990) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Beril Arik (-1994) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Kirklareli maintains sixth place with 11-6 record. Diba Ankara at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Antalya and Manisa. Kirklareli will meet at home higher ranked Elazig Il (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Diba Ankara will play against the league's second-placed Fenerbahce G. (#2) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
