Important game to mention about took place in Ostrow Wlkp.. Third ranked Stal (11-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Anwil (8-7) 71-68 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Jakub Garbacz (197-1994) who led the winners and scored 19 points. Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (202-1992, college: Georgia) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Lee Moore (193-1995, college: UTEP, agency: Mansfield and Associates) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import forward Luke Petrasek (206-1995, college: Columbia) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Anwil in the defeat. Stal moved-up to second place. Anwil lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Spojnia. Stal will play against Wilki Morskie (#3) in Szczecin in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Anwil will play on the road against Enea Zastal in Zielona Gora and hopes to get back on the winning track.
