Regular Season Round 15: Alicante - Andorra 73-66

The game between second ranked Andorra (13-2) and sixth ranked Alicante (10-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Andorra was defeated by Alicante in a tough game in Alicante 66-73. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Andorra. The best player for the winners was American swingman Delaney Blaylock (196-1997, college: Lewis) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian Osvaldas Matulionis (200-1991) chipped in 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Brazilian point guard Rafael Luz (186-1992, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Micah Speight (178-1998, college: S.Nazarene) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alicante have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valladolid. Andorra at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Alicante is looking forward to face Gipuzkoa (#8) in San Sebastian in the next round. Andorra will play on the road against Ourense (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
