Regular Season Round 12: Manisa - Gaziantep 69-104

U19 League top team - Gaziantep (12-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Manisa Izmir (2-10) 104-69. Gaziantep dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Manisa Izmir's 46. They outrebounded Manisa Izmir 60-26 including a 26-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gaziantep players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Emirali Gokturk (203-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and Arda Birkeser (-2005) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Mert Oren (-2006) with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Mustafa Akkanat (-2004) scored 19 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaziantep have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Manisa Izmir at the other side keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Gaziantep will play against Buyukcekmece (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Manisa Izmir will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
