There was no surprise when 11th ranked Begastri (4-9) lost to first ranked Gandia (11-1) in Cehegin 69-83 on Sunday. Gandia forced 22 Begastri turnovers. Guard Alejandro Requena (189-2001) nailed 22 points for the winning side and forward Alejandro Terrades (196-2001) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Jose Fernandez (200-1978) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jose Alberto Exposito (193-1986) added 20 points respectively for Begastri in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Gandia.
