Tenth-ranked E.N. Paralimni (2-12) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Apoel (11-2). The visitors from Nicosia managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But E.N. Paralimni won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Apoel players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for Croatian swingman Davor Konjevic (198-1990) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Travin Thibodeaux (203-1996, college: New Orleans) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian forward Stephen Ugochukwu (201-1996, college: McNeese St.) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Aaron Cook (188-1997, college: Georgia) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Four E.N. Paralimni players scored in double figures. Apoel maintains second place with 11-2 record behind leader Keravnos. E.N. Paralimni lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Omonia. Apoel will play against AEK Larnaca (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. E.N. Paralimni will play against Achilleas K. (#8) in Kaimakli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
