There was a minor upset when 5th ranked TED Ankara (7-7) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Fenerbahce (5-10) 92-86 on Sunday. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Faruk Biberovic (-2005) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Kadir Yanci (200-2005) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce's coach Mahir Bayrak used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Ahmet Gunes (-2004) responded with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and Sefa Karadol (-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Fenerbahce maintains eighth position with 5-10 record. TED Ankara lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Fenerbahce will meet higher ranked Antalya Gelism (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TED Ankara will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
