Everything went according to plan when second ranked Faenza (14-3) defeated on the road 8th ranked Imola Virtus (9-8) 89-74 on Sunday. They outrebounded Imola Virtus 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Forward Simone Aromando (200-1997, agency: SLN) nailed 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Giovanni Poggi (201-1997) accounted for 15 points and 12 rebounds. Five Faenza players scored in double figures. Point guard Luca Galassi (185-1999) came up with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Bulgarian Borislav Mladenov (202-2000, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Imola Virtus in the defeat.
