Second Stage Round 3: Triglav - Konjice 85-41

Very significant was Triglav's (#3, 2-1) victory against Konjice (1-2) 85-41. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Konjice to just 6 points in third quarter and to 12 points in second half. They outrebounded Konjice 39-19 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Triglav players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Konjice's players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Eva Hendrickx (178-2005) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Zorana Tinkara (171-1999) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. Triglav's coach Gasper Sluga felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Eva Brdnik (173-1997) came up with 9 points and guard Zoja Visocnik (168-2005) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Konjice in the defeat. Triglav will play against Maribor (#4) at home in the next round. Konjice will play against Jezica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
