Eleventh-ranked Salou (6-12) made lots of trouble for second ranked Menorca (15-4). The visitors from Mahon managed to secure only one-point victory 68-67. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Salou. It was a good game for Chilean guard Ignacio Arroyo-Varela (190-2000) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points. Serbian Nikola Miskovic (207-1999, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Menorca's coach Javier Zamora allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard Javier Hernandez (182-1992) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and forward Adria Aragones (193-2001) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Salou. Menorca keeps a position of league leader. Newly promoted Salou dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Menorca will play against Cornella (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Salou will play against Alginet (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
