Regular Season Round 14: TSU - Cactus 100-84

Round 14 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Cactus (9-4). They were defeated by fifth ranked TSU (8-5) 100-84 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by TSU. Cactus managed to win third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cactus 48-23 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. TSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TSU made 7 blocks. The former international power forward Beka Bekauri (209-1991, agency: BIG) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Djimon Henson (193-1998, college: Morehead St.) chipped in 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. TSU's coach Leqso Lapanashvili used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and swingman Vakhtang Gaprindashvili (195-1999) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 8-5 record.
